Bruce nods his mind already working overtime as he starts working out a
plan. "I'd love that," he says, "I have the second book too I think you'd
like that too."
He laughed as he settled next to her. "You ask a scientist his favorite
subject?" He works on pouring them wine as he talks. "Biology," he says, "I
love figuring out how to make the human body work right. Marking people
feel better is the most important part of who I am."
"You do your job very well Doc. I feel better every time I'm with you," She said, smiling softly. Her fingers brushed his as she took the glass, her eyes bright.
"To you," She said raising her glass. "Happy Birthday. I hope this is the first of many birthdays we spend together."
Natasha smiles and takes a sip of her wine, licking her lips when she is finished. "You have spoiled me forever you know," She said as she set both of their glasses to the side, as she leaned forward and pressed a hungry kiss to lips.
"What me," he says innocently, "I may have encouraged things a little but I
didn't start it, miss I'm going to sneak people food when they aren't
looking."
She just raised her eyebrow at him, but there was no heat behind it at all.
"The only person that I sneak food to is you sweetie. Don't you know that I will always take care of you, even if you come to your senses and dump me."
He smiles. "I'm not going to dump the woman who gets me Indian take out,
plates it and sneaks it under my elbow when I'm working...without
complaining about it. Just....don't put it so close to my beakers next time
okay...I almost spilled acid on the naan."
"It was my mistake," Bruce said chuckling, "I was so deep into my work like
always I wasn't paying attention and almost spilled the acid. You didn't
almost do anything."
